After a very rough Friday - where she had to get a shot of antibiotics in each leg - Lauren was feeling better. We did pick up her new glasses - NOT the style I'd prefer, but what she needs for now. It has been a battle of wills getting her to keep them on (and yes, I am being defeated by a 19 month old).
She thinks it's fun for a minute, then says, "glasses, all done" and rips them off.
Then I take them, put them back on and say, "glasses on"... and the scene repeats until Mommy gives up.

Oh, my god, she sounds so cute. Maybe you need to get a really tight strap like on ski goggles so it's so frustrating that she gives up?
My sister's 3 yr-old has been wearing glasses since she was Lauren's age and it was a struggle at first. We used the strap thing but she would still take them off every chance she got. All I can say is that they get better about it eventually, hang in there! LooHoo wears them all the time now like a pro!
Hey, don't worry about the style, Lauren is cute enough to make anything she wears look good! As for her not wanting to wear them, the other poster is right that it just takes time and patience.
Thanks for the advice, now I just have to remember to bring her glasses with us to daycare. It can be a scary thing to be a person who wouldn't remember her head if it wasn't attached to her shoulders - and to then become a Mom responsible for remembering the baby's stuff!
I dont have any adviceon how to keep the glasses on but she is just way too cute. I love her little voice!
