Chubbarific

Someone on Jenny's blog saw her pic from In-N-Out Burger and posted a not so nice comment -

...all you talk about is porking out on highly processed foods! what a crack up to see your chubby face!

- well, that was my chubby face, not Jenny's.

The irony of the comment is that 1) In-N-Out uses only fresh, non-processed ingredients and 2) I'm well within the healthy weight range for my height according to the National Institute for Health

But either way, as for 'porking out' on yummy food, sign my fat-ass up because I'd rather enjoy life than be a stick in the mud (literally and figuratively).

I didn't see the comment, yet, however, that was an awful thing to say, but they should consider themselves lucky to see pictures of you guys, at all!

PS: Like, you don't even have a chubby face! As if!

You have a beautiful face!

And here I was thinking "Gosh, they are both so gorgeous". Honest!

Okay.. the Internet is certainly full of TROLLS! Cripes almighty! Anyway, I think you and Jenny are really pretty. And even people who have never met you can see in the photos the glow you two have about you. I say screw them and bring on the Krispy Kremes ;-)

I saw the post but missed the comment. You guys are all really so photogenic and I thought it was a great pic considering 1) it sounded like you'd just landed and 2) the lighting was off. What matters most is that you had a good time and we could definitely see your happiness in that pic.

I missed that comment as well. Went back to read it and saw that she said it was sad that you then posted to defend it. So it's ok for her to post shitty comments but you shouldn't post a response? pot...kettle...black. You aren't chubby. You are pretty. People that have nothing better to do than post snide comments on blogs are the ones with no life and need something better to do.

well well! a nerve was hit. tina, i was actually commenting on your friend Jenny's face, not yours. sorry. yes, i do have better things to do than write comments on blogs too. the anonymous post to the follow up to my comment was not from me. quite interesting though that someone out in cyberspace might not understand how people can write so much about what they eat. and yes, i did use my real name although, who really cares, i'm sure...
it amazes me how people in america can complain so much about being overweight and millions of dollars are used for dieting. portions in restaurants become bigger and bigger and what was once known as a size 6 has now become a size 4 to make those who are overweight feel better. each time i visit america there seem to be more and more large and overweight people. kids included! what is it that makes americans so overweight?? highly processed food, lack of exercise, large portions, lack of motivation, sedentary lifestyles, everything at their fingertips??...

Sad to see when someone needs this type of affirmation and attention by responding so negatively. Ive been a reader of Tina and Jenny for quite some time (several years) and I thank you for writing about your friendship and your lives. Have a great one and Im gettin In N out tonight!!!!!! Tanya

Okay, I just rechecked the picture to be sure and I still don't see it. Neither of you looks anywhere close to chubby. You both look like you're normal people.

Allison, I don't disagree with any of your points. I just don't think you picked the right venue or people to call "piggy" to make your point. There really was no need to be mean.

Our blogs are meant to be entertaining, light, pop-culturey, so if you're not into that, or want to make a political statement about it, you might want to click on over to an opinion blog.

i think you and jenny are both beautiful, and i often wonder how you stay so skinny while eating all that yummy food!! it's really unfortunate that someone had to make a negative comment because i'm always amazed at how positive and fun yours and jenny's blogs are. rarely do we see the kind of bitching and moaning that everyone hates to hear in real life, too. and i hope you don't think it's creepy, but there are a lot of strangers out there that follow your lives and you have a little place in our hearts. i love reading your blogs, and i think that you are fantastic role models. =c )
